Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Chickpeas – They bring extra protein and a smooth consistency to the spread.
  • Lemon juice – Adds brightness and balances the flavors.
  • Olive oil – Provides a silky texture and a touch of richness.
  • Salt and pepper – Essential seasonings to enhance the overall taste.

  • Don’t skip the soaking step for sunflower seeds – It ensures a smooth, creamy consistency for the spread.
  • Play with herbs – If you’re not a fan of dill, try parsley, basil instead.
  • Make it ahead – The spread can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to three days, making assembly even quicker.

Variations and Customizations

While this tart is already packed with incredible flavors, you can customize it to suit your taste:

  • Add a touch of cheese – A sprinkle of vegan crumbled feta would add a tangy contrast.
  • Try different greens – Instead of radish leaves, use spinach, arugula, or kale.
  • Include extra toppings – Sliced avocado, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, or toasted seeds can enhance the flavor and texture.
