Red Lentil hummus without tahini is one of my new favourite dips. Also it is so easy to make and everyone is goig to love it!
I must be honest with you guys I am probably very addicted to hummus. My family and I love every version of it! Also I can enjoy a good plate of hummus any time of the day. And saying from experience there is nothig better than making hummus at home!
The main ingredient for hummus is usually chickpeas/garbanzo beans. However if you ever made hummus from dried chickpeas you must know it is a very long and time consuming process. You need to choose a good type of beans, then soak overnight. And only then boil for at least one hour to have a creamy hummus.

Red Lentils
I have discovered a new solution for quicker and quite same results it is red lentils!. It is small, skinless round legumes which are very similar in nutritional value, characteristics and behavior to chickpeas. Their small size gives them two huge advantages: they need no soaking and require a very short cooking time to completely soften.
In other words: red lentils enable you to enjoy a plate of homemade, fresh hummus, in under 30 minutes from start to finish.
Moreover, their flavor profile is extremely similar, so most folks will not be able to tell the difference!
