These Mushrooms over Bean Hummus is such an amazing and comforting dip. It goes so well together and it just so addictive!
The sauteed mushrooms give this healthy appetizer a rich, meaty, almost decadent flavor. And served over creamy hummus is just perfection!
How to make these mushrooms?
It’s so ridiculously easy to make and requires very less ingredients.
- Onion, very affordable and amazing vegetable used in so may dishes. Increases the flavour for sauteed mushrooms.
- Garlic, one of my favourite spices, it just gives such an amzing spicy kick to the dish.
- Olive Oil, I love olive oil it’s so rich in flavour and also quite healthy for you.
- Button Mushrooms, amazing plant used in so many vegan dishes, super meaty texture.
- Spices, Combines and enriches all the flavours in the dish.
Basically, start by sautéing chopped onion and garlic, then add all the chopped mushrooms and spices. Mix occasionally until you get brown and cooked mushrooms. That is so so simple to make but gives tons of flavour too.
Bean Hummus
I also made here white bean hummus instead of chickpea hummus. It’s so so simple, actually it’s the same recipe as chickpea hummus just changed legumes. Tastes super super creamy and delicious! A good way to change some flavours sometimes.
Combination of Mushrooms and bean hummus
This combination makes a great protein packed meal to serve for lunch, as a snack or even dinner if served with lots of bread. It’s best enjoyed with warm toasted pita or sourdough bread. Just dig in and get messy. The flavours combine so well that it’s actually melting in your mouth how good that is. If you try it you are not going to be disappointed!
